We like to think that healing happens in a simple straight line and it gets easier and easier once we are on the "right" track.
Then we have flare-ups that feel defeating, isolating, overwhelming, and frustrating.
Our symptoms might even worsen when we are doing everything "right."
When we check in and remember we are allowed to feel upset AND also that the body is trying its absolute hardest to heal, we can soften into the experience and regain a sense of trust.
The body is healing, we are healing, yes it takes time but you are not alone.
Allow yourself the time to live WHILE you are healing.
It's not an arbitrary end point where all of a sudden we are healed. It's more like a gradual adventure where we notice ourselves remembering that every experience is here to help us.
We start to notice that we blossom when things are often rough and are tested by life, and with time, we have revealed the lotus that grew out of the thickest and most challenging mud. (That sounds like the kind of flower I'd like to be, at least!)
If you were to trust your body's ability to heal, how might that change this experience of life you currently find yourself in?
