Heal While You Sleep

If you're going to do something anyways, I find it helpful to put some intention behind it to make it that much more meaningful!
Sleep is the perfect example of this.
If we can take a few moments to set the intention that as we rest, our bodies our able to heal more deeply and even VISUALIZE this happening, it can take an everyday act and boost it's therapeutic potential.
If you're someone that doesn't sleep very deeply or wakes up several times a night, this video can still be helpful, as it's all about realizing that the LESS we do, the more the body can freely heal.
Even while wide awake, breathing deeply, trusting that we will sleep when we need to, the body can shift into a parasympathetic and therefore restorative state. (We see this with monks deep in meditation that actually sleep very little, yet feel rested and peaceful regardless.)
Just like healing a scrape, sometimes just letting it be, leaving it alone, and giving it time is all the wound needs to rejuvenate.
It does so without fancy salves, bandaids, and constant picking.
There's something to be said about the more we learn to trust the innate healing of the body and choose to gently tend to what is needed (vs. aggressively picking at something), the greater our ability to find balance and sustainable healing down to the level of each and every cell in our miraculous cellular and electrical bodies.
Let me know: what new insights does this sequence bring up for you and your relationship with your body?
